Play Safe Seattle

Since the 2016 election, there has been a spike in hate crimes across the nation. Sadly, members of our local music community have been targeted. Play Safe Seattle is a campaign to increase protection for musicians and performing artists and to make the city’s nightlife safer for everyone. Our approach is to work with performing artists and the venues that employ them, promoting simple actions to enhance personal safety and prevent harassment based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender identification, sexual orientation or disability.

The goal of Play Safe Seattle is to develop a safety program that serves the needs of our local music community and addresses the ongoing challenges of the current political climate. Your support bolsters our efforts. We welcome musicians of all genres, performing artists of all disciplines, club owners and their employees and fans of all persuasions.

Play Safe Seattle meets at 7pm on the first and third Tuesday of each month at:

3209 Eastlake Ave. E.
Seattle, WA 98102.
