Using the limitations of their members Dirty Dirty writes with the influence of dance, punk and blues music for a stripped down and raw voice of rock and roll. Influenced by the avant garde noises of Lightning Bolt and Fugazi, to the much more popular sounds of Queens Of The Stone Age or Jack White, Dirty DIrty writes songs to both capture and surprise listeners with fuzzy bass, active and driving drums, melodious howling vocals, and energetic live performance.

The Robin Trower story started in the mid Sixties when he began his recording career in the Southend rhythm and blues band The Paramounts. But the first time Trower pinged on rock’n’roll’s radar was in 1967, with Procol Harum – house band of the Summer of Love. Though he did not play on their mega-hit ‘A Whiter Shade Of Pale’, he completed five albums and many tours with them before breaking away for a solo career in 1971.

GIFTED GAB: ROLLIN’ WITH THE HOMIES
JARV DEE + SWISHER SLEEP + FANTASY LEAGUE DJS
This event is 21 and over
Gifted Gab is Seattle’s Queen MC gracing the streets with unmatched levels of style and grace. She embodies the nostalgic culture of 90s Hip Hop through her distinctive flow and lyrical finesse.
Since the moment she was born, “Gabby” Kadushin has spent every moment of her life immersed in music. Growing up in the church and singing along side her Mother in the choir, Gab would spend her extra time studying the radio and memorizing songs after only a couple listens. Outside of church, Michael Jackson and Tupac were her prophetic icons. By the time Gab was nine, she was writing raps about growing up in Seattle’s Central District and pursuing a sound all of her own. She continued to soak up the power and influence of East Coast female MCs like Queen Latifah, MC Lyte and Bahamadia while also riding around in cars bumping Bay Area legends like Mac Dre and E-40.

Anthony Lee Phillips “Between Doubles” Album Release w/ The Landmarks
5:00pm | Doors at 4:30pm
Tickets: $10 adv/$12 dos
Tickets available from Stranger Tickets
ANTHONY LEE PHILLIPS is a guitarist and singer-songwriter from the Pacific Northwest. His new record Between Doubles paints a double portrait of his 7 years in Seattle, falling out of love with one person and into love with another. Featuring 13 compositions from his 350+ songbook, the album focuses on harmonic texture and lyrical images in a chamber-indie-rock genre.
His band is:
Jack Brady on percussion;
Andrew Forbes on trumpet;
Ted Lim on fretless bass.
Formed in Detroit, Michigan this indie-rock trio is made up of Laja Olaiya (singer), Jack Uppling (guitarist) & EJ Roach (keys.) Unique in their composition style, the band scores all music as classical composer would an orchestral work and ads lyrics last, sometimes months after a song has been introduced into their daily practice. Relocating to Seattle, Washington in late 2016, the group has been working on new material and can be found playing around the Pacific Northwest area, often accompanied by guest bassists & drummers.
Danny Newcomb, a veteran of local bands Goodness, The Rockfords, and Shadow, now builds catchy indie rock with a folksy bent with his current band the Sugarmakers. With a new CD soon to be released on HockeyTalkter Records, the band will bring us some new songs, along with tunes from their first release. Danny Newcomb & the Sugarmakers feature:
Danny Newcomb – lead vocals and guitar
Ryan Burns – keys
Justin Davis – guitar
Eric Eagle – drums
Rick Friel – bass
Faith Stankevich – back up vocals
Hailing from the Tri-Cities, Carrie Akre has been in beloved NW bands Hammerbox, Goodness & The Rockfords. She has also released three acclaimed solo albums.
Playing out for a year now, ex licks makes a rock that straddles the broad zone between noise and pop. Comprised of Shawn Kock (Absolute Monarchs, git/vox), Alex Noble (bass/vox) and Dan Paulus (Broomsticks, drums/vox) ex Licks is the power trio today’s world deserves.
